Artificial intelligence
Artificial intelligence (AI) is defined by the European Parliament as the ability of machines to perform tasks similar to those of humans, such as reasoning, learning, planning and creativity. Artificial intelligence no longer just receives incoming data through various data collection channels (camera, microphone, etc.), but also enables the technology to solve problems by sensing its environment – by processing the data – and planning its actions and responses to achieve a specific goal. The emergence of artificial intelligence has thus opened up completely new doors for companies in different areas (e.g. online shopping and advertising, internet search, machine translation, self-driving vehicles, cybersecurity, etc.). However, the legal regulatory environment for the use of the technology is still in its infancy, with many open and pending issues. Our law firm supports the domestic adaptation of technology with the latest professional and legal expertise, ensuring companies are compliant in a still uncertain legal environment.
