{"id":782,"date":"2023-11-23T13:03:03","date_gmt":"2023-11-23T12:03:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fintechjog.hu\/a-glimpse-into-the-future\/"},"modified":"2023-11-23T13:03:03","modified_gmt":"2023-11-23T12:03:03","slug":"a-glimpse-into-the-future","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fintechjog.hu\/en\/a-glimpse-into-the-future\/","title":{"rendered":"A glimpse into the future"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>2023. 21-22 November was the date of the  <\/b><b><br \/>\n  <i>MoneyLIVE Payments Europe<\/i><br \/>\n<\/b><b> conference at the Sugar Factory in Amsterdam, which aimed to foster collaboration and bring tangible progress in shaping the future of banking and payment services.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The event will serve as a platform for leaders in the payments ecosystem, bringing together experts from academia, technology and financial services to analyse the fundamental changes taking place in the banking industry and call for action. Guests included renowned speakers such as Joe Heneghan from Revolut, Tristan Krichner from Uber and Evelien Witlox from the European Central Bank.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The central theme of the conference was the future of the financial sector, whether traditional banks will adapt to the changing world and its needs, or whether disruptors will dominate and take advantage of this situation. However, due to the diversity of the areas involved and the divergent discourse, it is clear that the overall aim is in fact to develop a hybrid model that embraces innovation through disruptors while respecting regulations, emphasising the importance of dialogue and compromise with traditional market players.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The main themes of the conference were:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Preparing for new payment infrastructures<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Innovation at the point of sale<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fraud, financial crime<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cross-border payments<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Embedded finance<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Digital currencies and CBDCs<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PayTech presentations<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All in all, the conference is a forward-looking initiative that encourages international collaboration to leverage global and cross-platform and cross-partner synergies to drive successful change in banking and payments services, to create a compliant banking sector ready for the challenges of the future.
